Although online proofs are extremely accurate and offer many advantages, there is one drawback, according to Kandler.

“Computer monitors have their limitations,” he says. “People should keep in mind that colors may appear slightly different on a computer screen compared to the actual printed product.

“Computer monitors only display approximations of the actual color. Usually, it’s not a significant difference, but sometimes a color may appear slightly lighter or darker on screen.”

Customers can receive the online proofs as an e-mail attachment or by downloading them off of CompanyNewsletters.com’s Web site.

To view or print the proofs, which are created in a “.pdf” format, clients need the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on their computer. The software can be downloaded for free from Adobe’s Web site.
